A Collage Poem (Verses from Radiohead Lyrics)

Destiny Protect me from the World

Stop whispering, Start Shouting

I don't belong here

So what, pop is dead, it's not great loss

Drying up in conversation, you will be the one who cannot talk.

And it wears me out, it wears me out.

Why don't you remember my name?

The yuppies networking

The head of state has called for me by name

And for a minute there, I lost myself

This is what you get, when you mess with us

Comes like a comet

You do it to yourself

I'll take a quiet life

Radiohead Videos Trivia

-¿How old is Thom Yorke in Radiohead's first oficial video "Anyone can play guitar"?

24 years old

-¿Why did the Creep single was not played on BBC Radio 1 in 1992?

Because it was too depressing

-¿What does Thom Yorke says "Fake plastic trees" is all about?

He says the song is about Canary Warf, a large business development in London, wich contains the UK's three tallest buildings.

-¿What did "Fake plastic trees" director say about it?

Jake Scott said "The film is actually an allegory for death and reincarnation but if you can read that into it you must be as weird as the people who made it."

-¿What did Thom Yorke said about "Street spirit"?

'Street Spirit' is our purest song, but I didn't write it... it wrote itself. We were just its messengers, its biological catalysts. Its core is a complete mystery to me and... (pause) you know, I wouldn't ever try to write something that hopeless. All of our saddest songs have somewhere in them at least a glimmer of resolve. 'Street Spirit' has no resolve. It is the dark tunnel without the light at the end. It represents all tragic emotion that is so hurtful that the sound of that melody is its only definition. We all have a way of dealing with that song. It's called detachment. Especially me. I detach my emotional radar from that song, or I couldn't play it... I'd crack. I'd break down on stage..."

-¿And what about "Karma police"?

Thom said "It's for someone who has to work for a large company. This is a song against bosses. Fuck the middle management!"

The director of the video, Jonathan Glazer, said "I regard 'Karma Police' as a complete failure, because I decided to do a very minimalist, subjective use of camera, and tried to do something hypnotic and dramatic from one perspective, and it was very hard to achieve and I feel that I didn't achieve it". (Glazer won MTV's Director of the Year award in 1997 for this video)

-¿Who is the hungarian actor that appears on Karma police video?

Lajos Kovács

-¿Which one is the Beatle's song which has similarities with Karma police?

Sexy Sadie (Only the intro)
